Yay!! We just bought a new fridge yesterday and it is due to come this afternoon. We have been coping up with such a small 1 door fridge and it is certainly very difficult to store anything more than one whole chicken and some perishable food in the freezer.

So we angan-angan (imagined) wanted to get this hi tech fridge with water and ice dispenser in it. But then come to think of it, for a tag price that high just to have water and ice dispenser on the fridge, it is really not worth it.

Or how about this new wave technology to have the fridge in the living room because a 15 inch plasma/LCD tv is on it!! HAH! Brilliant. But of course to have a fridge for a tv is not really a cool idea. You get what I mean. I applaud the technology and all, but sincerely I am not into it. Hmm.. but I do not mind it being in the bedroom though... Haaaii ya.. No need la!!

And so finally we came to this fridge. Mind you we searched high and low for this type of fridge that had the right price tag on it. Although it was all quite similar everywhere, but there was just one too many who wanted to cheat us on the interest part (0% installment crap) of which we will end up paying double the amount. So we decided no need to go credit on this. It is just not worth the interest and the hassle.

So tadaahhh.. Our new Samsung fridge. I do not know what is the model but it does have all the below features.

3 Years Warranty (5 Years Warranty for Compressor)
Four Star Rating Freezer
Silver Nano Technology
Twin Cooling System
Multi-flow System

Can't wait! Will post the actual fridge later at night! Yuhuuuuu!!

edited at 11.55pm....

Our fridge arrived at 6.30pm today and fitted nicely between our aquarium and kitchen cabinet. Here it is revealed - new and empty!! Haha! (must go pasar malam tomorrow.....)

My goodness!

How refreshing it is to have 8 hours of non-interrupted sleep. I'm not sure if I snored or not, but I do not care because I was dead tired. I could have went on (staying up) if there was another MU deciding match or another spoiler to find, but I think I wouldn't want to be that obsessed and super efficient anymore. Haha. Too tiring to stay up glued to my laptop, scouring the Net for juicy news. Maybe I can be an outstanding reporter (hubby told me after I told him what happened) cos some people would want to know the news early and do not want to be kept in the dark for too long.

Haha..whatever it is, I hate spoilers too but it depends on my mood. If I am kept awake cos I'm hoping that what I hope would happen, it would be treacherous for me. So for those who do not share the same sentiments, well, let's just stay it as that. NEXT......

Yesterday was a mind boggling day for me. Hubby and I managed to clean up the pond, dug up the smelling moss and literally scrubbed the pond squeaky clean. Something went kappuutt with the wiring in the pond and we could not hook up the pump properly. So the pond has not been running for quite some time already. Unfortunately 2 fishes (fish? fishes? is there any English teacher around? I could have sworn that it is still fish if plural. Help??!) died. So hubby had to bury them somewhere. I have this phobia of dead fish or pets for that matter. I used to rear my own when I was 12 or something. I guess I screwed up cos fish after fish died. Bleh!

Anyway will be doing and finishing up the pond today (you hear that sayang,.. TODAY) cos I'm just scared that more fish(es) will die. Cheers to all my fish(es). May they live a long life!

Downloaded Quantum Leap (Scott Bakula, Dean Anderson) Season 1. I wanted to watch it with hubby last night, but after 10 minutes I dozed off in his arms. I woke up suddenly, told him I Really cannot tahan already, then crawled to my bed. Haaaaaa... Heaven..

Son's friend came over yesterday as well. He is way younger than my kid. Oh my gosh, the noise they made in the house. Is this what will happen when I have more kids later (later would be soon! Keep your hands, fingers, toes crossed!). Yikes! I really have to get ready for this. I mean with one boy around it was ok, but I am not sure if I have 2 or 3. Ai jo jo!

So back to the friend story. They were playing playing, then suddenly son came up to me and said that the friend called him 'stupid'. Hey in my house we all do not even use Bodoh (stupid) or tolerate any other name calling ok. I mean okla I understand they are still young, but what happens when they grow up . They might end up like some immature idiots who call themselves grown ups and still name call other people. SO I decided to find out his friend's side of the story. True enough son did not want to borrow one of his toy to him. So I made son apologised. And he did. BUT you know what happened the friend merajuk still and quickly said 'I don't want to friend you anymore!' Aiya, what la.

I thought the rule of thumb is that once you apologise and make peace, people should stop all this nuinsance (now i know why there are wars). Again I understand that they are still kids. So I had to get down on my knees and explained that NAME CALLING is a big no-no in this house. What more 'Stupid'. Noone is stupid and I told him it is very hurtful to the person you are calling it to. Then he told me that his parents also call him that.

Man, his own parents. Well a note of advice. To all parents, singles, bachelors, bachelorettes, girlfriend, boyfriend - you are ADULTS. DO NOT name call your child. Or ANYONE for that matter.

What comes around goes around. I believe in karma, I guess. Or in the bible, 'do not do unto others, what you do not want them to do to you.'

So please educate yourself first, before trying to educate those who are younger to you.

And by the way, didn't your parents tell you to respect those who are elder to you as well.

I hope this boy would be put right and not be a nuinsance when he grows up. As an elder boy, I advised my son to tell this boy not to say those words or name-call anyone anymore. I try my best to pump in the good values. Not only to my son but to others around him as well.

I am just afraid that the values that we learned from our elders would diminished as what I have seen yesterday.

So people buck up and be ready this time ok.

I managed to cringe, winge, shouted, oohhs, aahhs my way through MU and Chelsea match this morning. That was the most antagonizing match I have ever witnessed. Ronaldo!! What lah!

I gave up after that, saying to hubby that Chelsea's gonna win and went to bed, just when John Terry (Chelsea's captain) missed his penalty. Hubby was shouting (mind you, it was 6 am!!), asking me to come out, then practically chocked me with glee. So I sat down. Still got hope.

Then the next MU player sailed through.

Okay, it is Chelsea's turn now. Will MU goalie Van de Sar do a miracle and stop the ball.

Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka stepped up to the penalty box, took a few steps back, lunge forward, kicked........ and... SAVED!!!!!

Van de Sar did it!. He was declared MU's hero for the day and clearly he is the man of the match. (Again, no thanks to Ronaldo for missing his penalty).

That was 6 hours ago. I only had 1 hour of sleep after that before I had to wake up to send son to school. Then I stayed up to check on the Davids. And now since I only have 2 more hours before I have to pick up my son, I think I will catch some zzzsss..

I am still wondering how I can stay up this long. Maybe it's the adrenaline pumping.

Well, it was worth my beauty sleep..

Yawnn...

I just dig it when an aspiring director or producer decides to bring to live legendary comic books or manga (Japanese inspired comic books). I mean, for me, I have lived with X-Men (Archangel and Jean being my favs) all my life, and to see this characters come to life, humanised with their respective powers in place, I just love it!

Personally I have not read the manga, but basically it revolves around this black book, called "Death Note." Reading a summary on what this manga is all about, it actually reminds me of that movie made by Nicholas Cage, Ghost Rider. Here in Death Note, the hero, Light Yagami is a normal citizen minding his own business, but one thing he resented and really took to heart was the crime and corruption that was going on around him. Thus, one day he came upon the black book, and like the main character in Ghost Rider, Light began taking justice into his own hands. He would write the names of the criminals in the book, and apparently that person would die. This was the hidden power of the book. Not sure how the people die though, but I guess like "The Ring", once you watch that dreaded video tape, you are destined to die next.

Even though this 2 days (today and tomorrow) special screenings are only available in the US, well I sincerely hope for the sake of manga fans out there, Fathom Events will do it here as well. Or at least somewhere closer to home. I am sure that there are loads of manga fans who would want their manga heroes to come alive. It would be like a dream come true. It reminded me of the time when hubby watched Transformers when it first came out. At one point when the Autobots came crashing down from Earth and eventually took the forms of several heavy machinery, his eyes were wide open and he did not even blink. It came to the point where his eyes began tearing and it really looked like he was crying.

That was classic.

In my opinion, it is the responsibility of the director and producer to not cut short of what the comic or manga's story is all about. A chapter can be interpreted in a thousand ways, but when it is cut to 2 hours of dialogue, several action scenes and a corny story line, I tell you, I really hate those kind of interpretation.

So to Fathom Events and the people who had made this possible, kudos in bringing a manga come to life and here's to more of this type of film in the future!!

1,2....7,8,9,10!!!!!!! YOU'RE OUT!!

Basically this is literally the scene between David Archuleta and David Cook in today's just concluded final round of American Idol Season 7.

I was captivated by David's Archuleta's singing and Simon Cowell echoed the same when he announced that his performance tonight was a knockout.

However based on another website, it says that as at midnight May 20th (USA time), David Cook is in the lead by a mere margin.

I mean, okay, in terms of charisma, maturity, creativity and originality, David Cook tops it all. I love him in all of that. But what happened in tonight's finale? Why did he just gave an okay performance and not perform the way he did when he sang 'Billy Jean' for example. Those who wanted to vote for him (especially Syesha's voters)would definitely swing their vote to David Archuleta based on tonight's performance.

Well whatever it is, I am keeping a look out for the results the whole night tonight. Besides I have the MU vs Chelsea match as well at 3 in the morning. Hubby is staying up for that, and so will I. If I can tahan la!!

Being a full time account executive once, I had the 'priviledge' of playing around with Microsoft Excel, storing datas, meddling with the ever so complicated formulas - IF, SUM, AVERAGE, and generating reports after reports, I thought that it was the best thing to a fully automated washing machine. I do not have to do anything except key in the necessary figure, and voila! The answer or report comes at the next worksheet.

Boy, was I wrong when somebody accidentally deleted an IF equation. I was in the comfort zone already believing that I do not have anything to worry about. When it came to the monthly reports, oh gosh, yup, you guessed it right, all were jumbled up and instead of producing profits, we were well enough going down the drain!

Those were the days when there were no SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) or a standardised software to compute and generate this type of reports.

Well of course, time after time, softwares were developed, and one such software that was launched is Journyx Timesheet™.

This software deals mostly on Human Resource issues. However there is a great need to link the inter departments in a company, thus this software not only act as a timesheet but also as an expense management solution for the company.

What is more delightful is that this software will be given for free to 10 users - FOR LIFE.

And for those who had missed the promotion, Journyx will give you the flexibility to try out the software for 45 days. Just to get a hang of things. The Journyx family will assist you all the way.

It is really good for small and medium type of business. This is because it is really important to set up all the system in place first to avoid mismanagement and clutter. Only when everything is in proper, you can concentrate on making the big bucks!

Trust me on this okay!

Monday, 19th of May was an eventful day for a group of relatives and friends. Yes, the Doss Family and Friends had an unforgettable outing to Welcome Hospice Services, fondly known as the 'White House'. It is currently housing 33 homeless people living with HIV/Aids (PLWHA). Please visit my charity blog Unsung-Heroes for more updates.

Here is an article extracted from Herald magazine, published by the Catholic Church:

PLANS FOR LARGEST RESIDENTIAL HOSPICE CARE SERVICE IN MALAYSIA

Kuala Lumpur : Plans are underway to renovate an 80-year-old heritage building into the largest residential hospice care service for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Malaysia. Located in Batu Arang, the building which is also known as the 'White House' currently houses the Welcome Hospice Services. It will be renovated to accommodate 30 homeless PLWHA.

This project which is under the care of the National Office for Human Development (NOHD) was highlighted during a tea fellowship and briefing session on April 18. In addition to the Welcome Hospice Services, the NOHD has also established the Welcome Community Homes and the Welcome Community Drop-In Centre.

Provisions are being made for palliative care, education and advocacy, a community building, recreational facilities, residences for patients, vocational training for recovering drug addicts, a guesthouse, meditation areas, fish ponds and beautiful landscaped gardens. The budget estimated to get this project off the ground is approximately RM 1,920,000.00.

In giving the background of the establishment of the Welcome Community Homes, the Director of the NOHD, Bro Anthony Rogers FSC said, “It was the initial initiative taken by the Bishops' Conference of Malaysia in 1992 to launch the World Aids Day, that started us off on a journey, planting the seeds of awareness and education about those around us who are most marginalised by society. The initial setting up of Welcome Drop-in Centre at Bukit Nanas in 1995, evolved into the setting up of a single dormitory in 1998 in Batu Arang. Since 1998 close to 300 persons have been welcomed and cared for”. (Herald)

Indeed everyone has not only started talking, but eventually blogging about it. Within a month of launching more than 11,000 clicks were registered on this website. That is like on an average per day, 370 clicks alone!

I for one, could not let go of this opportunity to get my first pay check out of just writing. It is no longer just a passion anymore, but I actually get something out of it.

One thing though as an amateur blogger, is to keep track of the time! Frankly I was given this opportunity to write on this topic about 4 times, but by the time I got down to it, the validity period was over. Now isn't that a bummer! So whoever out there please do your post and submit it for verification as fast as possible. Don't be like me!

But while waiting for the next green light for me to write about this, I roamed around Social Spark. Well, really the site lived up to its name. The website looks like a scene from a mamak stall, whereby people just come up to you, add you up as a friend, give you gifts (props) and thumbs up, check out your blog, chat with you etc. If you are the loner type, it feels like you are sitting at one corner of the shop and observing who comes in and out, who are the rowdy bunch and who are the popular crowd.

I cannot say anything for Spark. This is because when the spark was ignited last April, the flame has grown bigger, stronger and spreading like mushrooms. Kudos for that!

Another thing that this new paid per post concept offers that none others does is the unique set of straight-to-the-point, non BS code of ethics:

-100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
-100% Transparency
-100% Real Opinions
-100% Search Engine Friendly

Well what are you waiting for?? For those who just started, start your journey as a blogger with this. Social Spark is here to stay!!

It is just one of the days where everything is moving at warp speed, a million things are going on around at once, eyes are tearing and can barely open, weird appetite, and impatient to see who wins American Idol. Hurry up already!!

So what I did was, I googled Hancock and this is what I found.

Now hurry up already with the movie.

Hancock coming to a theatre near you on July 2nd.

Today I totally feel lousy. As in I feel drowsy, light-headed, dehydrated and the no-semangat kind of feeling.

It is also maybe because of the fact that I will be riding the crimson tide soon, son is having his mid term evaluation, lack of good sleep and also some other kind of weird feelings in me.

Is this what you called being in an 'emo' period?

One more thing also maybe because I am sad that one of my close friend did not make it through a relationship. I mean, I myself having been through a whole lot of broken relationships in the past, would really like this certain friend of mine to find her Prince Charming. She has been through a lot as I was her room mate once upon a time. And I thought that this one was really the one. When I knew about it, my heart really went out to her. It made me feel like what I felt a few years back when I went through one of the hardest break ups of all.

But then we can never stay sad forever. As she said, you fall, you rise back. Of course in the process, heart breaks and insecurity looms you. It is pretty difficult to trust anyone ever again. Not to mention to jump on that 'I Do' wagon, will scare the living daylights out of you.

Like me, I failed once. But the second time I made sure that this is the right one. If not for my sake, it would be for my son's sake and for the sake of the person that I married. Life is too short to make mistakes anymore. Either you go ahead or don't.

I know that we are all different people, with different backgrounds and all. I guess it also takes a lot of praying and luck to really get what you want. Maybe it might not be the exact perfect one, but when you ponder on it and really really ponder, maybe it was under your nose all the time. Without sacrifice, there is no love. But sometimes, love never came first. It came later, after sacrifice.

Entahlah, I am in the state of emo-ness and drunk with loads of heavy-duty emotions in me.

But really I am sad for her and I wish her all the best.

Now that the heat is on for all the 3 American Idol contestants, surely it is definitely not the time to make any hiccups and slip ups by anyone, including their family members.

However recent reports that are out in the Net as well as the American media stating that David Archuleta's father, Jeff Archuleta has been banned from rehearsal for the upcoming May 20th and 21st showdown.

According to them, Jeff had meddled with one of the songs that David had to perform during last Wednesday stint (Malaysian time). Apparently he insisted on changing or adding the lyrics to David's song 'Stand by Me' by incorporating a verse from Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls. I mean how it incurred additional costs for 'American Idol' as reported I really do not know, but that was what they say.

Ok la. That one I can close one eye and walk away. Who does not want the best for their kids right?

But this reported news or tabloid gossip got me disturbed. Is he really like that to poor David. I mean he is so innocent and all. Is that the reason why is he always so gugup or nervous whenever a question is being thrown to him by Ryan Seacrest on stage? Is he scared of what his father might think of him?

Sigh poor guy. He is only 17, but he is being pressured to the max. I just hope he would not end up like Sufiah Yusof. Such a waste of talent.

Here's to David Archuleta. Bad publicity sometimes result to more audience voting. I just hope this stunt Jeff made would benefit his son, rather than destroy him!

I mentioned to Chegu Carol earlier this year that I will be jumping the bandwagon to be one of the blogs approved by PPP (Pay Per Post).

And guess what, mark this date 9th May 2008, I am officially one of you.
I am truly getting paid to blog!!

Well now I am gonna make another resolution.

To be able to make some moolah by end of this month. Of course with this post alone I will get $20 bucks in my Paypal. Finally my Paypal account is moving.

So for those who are really interested to put your flair for writing to good use then go to PPP, find out their requirements and jump on the wagon with yours truly!!

Actually to tell you the truth I did not really buy all this paid per post thingy. And I did go online scouring for information and bloggers who were kind enough to share their story on making money online. It sounded simple enough. I just had to maintain my traffic, sell my blog like a salesperson and increase my Page Rank steadily. Well so far in less than 200 posts I did increase my rank. Quite okay comparing to those who had blogged for years but have still not get past PR 1. I am those lucky ones and I owe it to all my blogger friends who had linked me. Thanks to all for giving me the inspiration and encouragement to open up and express myself through this blog. It has truly been a great journey!

Facebook group - Doss Family and Friends will be having our first charity gathering this coming May 19th to an old mansion that houses rehabiliated drug addicts somewhere in Sg Buloh.

According to the project manager, Alvin Samuel, we will be spending the first half of the day there and mostly time will be spent on fellowship and maybe refurbishing the mansion (painting, cleaning up etc).

I do not have the detailed programme yet, but I will be sure to post it up once I have it.

Of course for those who are unable to come, well you can always contribute in other ways. They are in dire need of bedsheets, so, so far they have only requested 30. I am sure they need more than that. So I will fix a time and venue later for the pick ups for any old (still can use) clothes, bedsheets etc somewhere next week.

Really need your help to make this charity drive a success.

More will be in my Charity Blog - The Unsung Heroes.

It is just one of those days that a single person in our lives is celebrated for her life, her achievement, her sacrifice, her dedication for her children, her effortness to mould and nurture her offspring and last but not least it is for us to remember her even though she has passed on, or incapable of remembering who we are or is just left behind in an old folks' home somewhere becoming only a memory not a physical being.

I think as a mother myself, I feel that the emotional bond for the first 10 years (could be more) with our little ones is very strong. We educate them, we clothe them, we bathe them, we clean up after their poops (some dads would do it also), prepare their nutrition-balanced meals, kiss the pain on their knee or elbow injury away and snuggle with them during bed time just to keep them warm and secure.

Moms endure the most in any given situation. For as women, we are the emotional sponges, who just suck in all the sorrow, sadness, anger, happiness, excitement, worries, dissapointment and craziness that our young ones totally indulge themselves in. To the point that we ourselves have to seek emotional strength to be and act strong in front of them when we are down with our own problems.

For those working mothers out there, it must be really hard to leave our 2 month old babies behind (but good news for some, some states will implement the 90 days leave for moms), to start back on work. Imagine the feeling of not being able to see her newborn baby for 8 hours in a day.

But hey this is the sacrifice I am talking about. To surrender ourselves for another life that we had chose to bring into this world.
We got to cherish whatever time that we have with our little ones and not to spare them our anxiety and frustration at work or maybe other problems that might lurk behind us.

So this is what Mother's Day means to me. In fact it should not only be that one day in the month of May of which we should rejoice for our mothers. People have said it over and over again - Everyday should be Mother's Day!

Thus I would like to leave a little story to all:

I had a friend who was the most angriest, meanest and snobbish person at work. She would just scold and scold and there seems to be no trace of goodness in her at all.

Unfortunately one day I had to give her a lift back home as her car broke down at work. My gosh, that was the most frightening experience for me as she would just grumbled and grumbled over every single messages she had coming from her Blackberry. All I could do was to tuned up the radio to Light and Easy FM as I prayed and hoped the sentimental music could calm her down.

So we reached her decent double storey house after an antagonizing one hour drive through traffic madness in good-old KL (thanks a lot!). I think she mumbled something about asking me to go in, but it was somewhere between 'Come in', 'What kind of bloody report is that!', *&%#@$%*&, and other stuff not worth mentioning here (as she was on the phone with a very unfortunate colleague).

I maintained a safe distance. Suddenly at one point she stopped, hang up her phone, touched ever so delicately on the roses beside her porch, and apparently I saw a little skip she made towards the front door.
A few seconds later, one, three, four oh my gosh six beautiful groomed happy children came running to the door. 'Mummy, mummy,' they shouted. 'Come and see what I made for you', one exclaimed. The eldest boy took her bag and she stopped to hug and kiss every single one of them. She went inside and closed the door (I think she did not invite me in-perasan nye), and from the window I took a peek.

What a transformation. From a mean sophisticated lady, to a mother of 6 energetic children of whom she handled with patience and smile. I could see that she was tired, and she was straining herself. But this was unbelievable. Something about her and what happened made me felt warm and inspired inside.

I did not get to talk to her after that as she was as busy as ever in the office. I left the company a year later. One day I received a call from her cell (I still have her number), and she apologised for leaving me outside the house after sending her off that day. Yikes, is this the same woman. I checked my phone. Yes it is.

We talked randomly and finally I asked her, why was she a different person all together after reaching her house.

She said in the sweetest tone ever, ' I work to live, but I live for my children. Every time I reach home, I will touch my roses and leave all my worries and anger with the roses I touched, and when I see my children, I greet them with the love they deserve. They don't need my crap from work. Especially when they do not see their mother for 10 hours every single day. I pray to God that I can be strong and energised every time I come back from work. My husband does the same. I hope you will do the same too.'

To all mothers, God bless you for your strength and your willingness to be strong for your children. Have a blessed day, every day...

A shoutout to my mum. Happy Mother's Day. I Love You!!!

Hubby takes pride in his garden and his flowers and his plants.

doesn't this look like butterflies flying? we bought it from Tamu Tuaran, Sabah!

He loves how his garden takes shape day after day and how the buds slowly open up the next day.

The landscaping job that he does in his garden is above extraordinary, as he slowly chooses the right shape, texture and colour of the rocks he uses.

Since he was a child, he grew up with plants around him. You see, his family has a thing for plants. As a matter of fact, they love to do their own landscaping and they take pride in the effort they put in it.

Hubby was just mentioning yesterday that he does not have a chance to see his Japanese Roses bloom. It only blooms in the daytime so by the time he comes back it closes up. So I took this opportunity to take some pics and post it here for him and for all of you to see!

In fact before he started his new job in KL he used to spend all his off days working not on the house but he splurge his ideas and creativity in his humble garden.

One time I remembered he would force me to do some measurement in the garden at night so that he would get his palm trees aligned once it was planted the next morning. Then we would be doing the bricks arrangement and cementing it nicely on the ground and the shape must be just right.

So dear, this is for you. Straight from home!

Hey guys! Guess what??

We are sending our little angel to a football academy!!

I really cannot imagine my lil Angelus all grown up and now going to kick some a** in a sport that all of us love!

Well it is in our blood and we have been to a gazillion football matches together. I am sure Angelus would love it. If he doesn't also, well at least he has tried right? That is the attitude we are trying to instil. Even though you lose, the most important part is that at least you had tried your very best.

He is an active boy by nature and we encourage him to go play outside (hence the huge garden and our super active dog, Missy) instead of playing video games or watching too much of tv (a little of tv, like Little Einstein is ok). Little Einstein teaches about classical music, musical instruments, friendship and singing. I am actually hooked on to it myself.

Angelus 1st drumming session

I have to say that he is a very diplomatic boy and has a sense of empathy the size of the Earth herself for everyone. I guess it is compassion, but sometimes he gets a little bit too sensitive. A true ladies man I might say!

Back to the football academy.

We are actually bringing him to the Brazil Football Centre in 3K Stadium, Subang Jaya (beside A&W, Summit etc). They have a good line up of coaches from Brazil and quite interestingly one of them is a missionaire (Coach Valdecir) that followed us to Singapore a while back to play football with another Christian Care Centre there.

Coach Valdecir's adorable daughter, Talitha

Angelus is gonna be enrolled in the Weekend Program catered for boys (even girls) age 7 to 8. It is a 2 day weekend practical and theory sessions, but I figured we will try for one day first, which will be on Saturday 8am. The best part is that it is a small group thus the Brazillian coaches (headed by Coach Lamartime) can focus on each of the students.

Another cool thing is the Special Incentive Program. Here, a series of 8 or more students will be selected by the coaches to attend a 1 month training stint in BRAZIL!! In the brochure it says 2 but when I asked Coach Valdecir, they actually had hand picked 8 to go this year in October. OMG! How surreal is that! Hubby is fuming (cos he couldn't go during his time) but excited if ever Angelus is selected. OMG! I am so gonna go with him if he does get selected!

Anyway, on a more serious note.. the fees are affordable also!! Aiyo. What more can you ask la. For a month's training, once a week it is only RM 120. Plus of course you have to buy the jersey and shorts (Brazil signature yellow and blue) for RM 150. I mean not to say that dirt cheap, but to be trained professionally it has got its price to pay, isn't it. Takkan you go to a chaplang (unprofessional coaches) coach and expect to be a world class player. Gosh, Malaysia really needs one (if not 11??..Lol).

Well whatever it is, it would be a great to have a father and son team in one football team. Angelus being young, rebellious and fast would go for midfield or striker. Hubby being wise and protective would protect home by becoming the defender.

A classic example of fathers and sons team in one team and working as a team (say that fast 3 times!!)

I shall say that it will be soon. A father's dream to have his son play alongside each other.

That is my dream as well...

Okay that is not how you chant it if you wanna get a delicious FREE Big Mac burger. You don't get away that easily. Although that is how Angelus would do it la.

Wahhh! Free ah?!!

What you have to do is to chant or sing or rap or do whatever is necessary under 4 seconds :

Two all-beef patties

Special Sauce, Lettuce

Cheese, Pickles, Onions

On a Sesame Seed Bun

Now does that really describe our Big Mac here?

To get a free burger is another thing. To get RM 10,000 is what I am aiming!

Well Nuffnang and Mcdonald's had teamed up and came up with this simple but brilliant way of promoting Big Mac. All you gotta do is to make a video of yourself doing the Big Mac chant, post it on Youtube and email your URL and contact number to BigMacChant@nuffnang.com.

So far I think these are the funniest one yet. Sewjin's Multilingual Big Mac Chant and vickyvacko. LOL!!

So what are you guys waiting for. Get that thinking cap of yours (actually to act silly does not need years of planning right??) and go for it! What's there to lose? (your face maybe?)

The day started off with complete drowsiness from all of us. Woke up at 7am, got ready all of our sports equipment (running shoes, football shoes, goggles, thights, badminton racquet, extra clothes, drinks etc). It was a lil bit difficult to wake Angelus up though but we managed to drag him to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and washed his face. Luckily he was fully awake by then.

Hubby was still recovering from his flu and cough. Although he was still sick. But I managed to manouvre and coax both of them to the car on time. It was already 7.30am. Hubby was supposed to register himself at 8 for his 4X100 relay at 8.30am.

The sports carnival was held in Matshusita Stadium in Shah Alam. It has all the basic facilities that any stadium would have (in fact even more). With an Olympic size pool, one 11 aside football pitch, one 9 aside pitch, tennis courts, badminton courts, netball court, running track, long jump, high jump and ample parking space for a few hundred people.

It was a clear day and the sun has not come up fully yet, so some parts of the track were still quite cooling. I managed to catch hubby in action prior to his run.

For the first heat, they got 1st and was the 3rd fastest overall, so they were qualified to go to the finals. Unfortunately in the finals they did not manage to get top 3 but came in 4th. Hubby was the 3rd runner. Not bad. He still has some speed in him.

All in all, we took part in running, swimming, badminton, ping pong and also set up a game stall. Needless to say the game stall was a huge success.

I really applaud the commitment and passion that our Home Fellowship gave today. Of course they are a bunch of people who gave their best in everything that they do.

And of course with this commitment we managed to clinch the overall Champion title (with Canaa HF).

Yay to Amethyst Home Fellowship!!
