my son has had childhood eczema since young. this is actually a normal thing as both his parents have asthma. i am not sure what is the relation between asthma and eczema, but according to the doc, this is very common. this type of eczema is called atopic eczema and unfortunately it is hereditary. son would have itchy rashes inside his elbows, behind his knees and neck. i thought that it was due to the heat, but it was pretty persistent for quite some time so we had to rule that one out.
we had used several types of creams, one of which had steroids in it. with application after application, son's skin became thinner and there was a noticeable white patch on it. i knew our main intention is to get rid of the eczema, but in the expense of having his skin thinning?? we had to do something else. so we resorted to less aggresive steroids, changing his diet and literally move away from our apartment. we were living in an apartment that was constantly noisy and dirty. it is after all in front of the highway. also one of the main contributor of eczema is dust and allergic components, such as detergent. so son would have been exposed to these as well.
i was more than happy and excited to know that there is a product out there which can treat eczema fast and effective, without the expense of the child's skin. Exederm is "fragrance free, color & dye free, parabens free, lanolin free and SLS/SLES free". many young and inexperienced mothers would not know what hit them, so i would like to advise all of you to visit the exederm site. even though both side do not have histories of hay fever or asthma, the eczema might be caused by other factors. in this site, you would be able to recognise these factors, and thus take necessary actions, without applying any medications. i mean, it is always best to treat it without medication especially if the cause is not internal. it might only be the detergent that you are using or the dusty environment that you are living in. go ahead and check it out!
they are also giving a special $5 discount to all via coupon code "SPARK1."
