I have been a fan of IT gadgets since I first got hold of one. Of course it was my first cell phone given to me by an ex a long while back. Since then I got hooked on to buying the latest in the market. Thank goodness I have gotten a hold of that impulse spending, and now I prefer to do an extensive research on that particular gadget first, look around for the best price, then settle on it. If it does not give me any problem I will be probably stuck to it, until it does.
Talking about that reminds me of hubby's company's willingness to sponsor him a Blackberry. Of course I was the one who was so flipped out of having a Blackberry in the house. I would definitely be the one under my covers trying to scroll, press, navigate and what not on the poor phone. I just love new stuff.
However my enthusiasm on him getting a Blackberry had since wane because of an incident a few weeks ago. We had a guest in our home who had came with the family for a holiday. They stayed with us for a few days. We brought them out and took them sight seeing and all. Unfortunately I was turned off by the husband's lack of concentration in our conversation as well as with his own family.
Guess what. He was always on his Blackberry every 1/2 hour.
Talking talking talking, then suddenly beep beep. He was suddenly not talking, left some questions hanging, took out his phone, then excused himself. This went on for the rest of their days here.
Sigh.. The evolution of having work at your finger tips. I applaud that (sarcastically!) I pity the family. They came all the way from way out there, but all they get is beeps beeps, and excuse me's.
That is why, sayang if the company gives you a Blackberry, it stays at home, locked away when it is not time for it to be anywhere near us. I have given the commitment to blog when everybody's asleep or away or if all chores are done accordingly. And that is why I blog less nowadays. I am just having fun with my boys.
Blackberry or not, it is forbidden when the clock strikes 3pm every weekdays, and it is banned totally on weekends.
Comprade!
Sayang, that goes for me too ok. When I get my HTC Touch Diamond.. ;P

We are a slave to technology at times. I'm crazy over gadgets and stuff but I do know where to draw the line though ...
