My goodness!
How refreshing it is to have 8 hours of non-interrupted sleep. I'm not sure if I snored or not, but I do not care because I was dead tired. I could have went on (staying up) if there was another MU deciding match or another spoiler to find, but I think I wouldn't want to be that obsessed and super efficient anymore. Haha. Too tiring to stay up glued to my laptop, scouring the Net for juicy news. Maybe I can be an outstanding reporter (hubby told me after I told him what happened) cos some people would want to know the news early and do not want to be kept in the dark for too long.
Haha..whatever it is, I hate spoilers too but it depends on my mood. If I am kept awake cos I'm hoping that what I hope would happen, it would be treacherous for me. So for those who do not share the same sentiments, well, let's just stay it as that. NEXT......
Yesterday was a mind boggling day for me. Hubby and I managed to clean up the pond, dug up the smelling moss and literally scrubbed the pond squeaky clean. Something went kappuutt with the wiring in the pond and we could not hook up the pump properly. So the pond has not been running for quite some time already. Unfortunately 2 fishes (fish? fishes? is there any English teacher around? I could have sworn that it is still fish if plural. Help??!) died. So hubby had to bury them somewhere. I have this phobia of dead fish or pets for that matter. I used to rear my own when I was 12 or something. I guess I screwed up cos fish after fish died. Bleh!
Anyway will be doing and finishing up the pond today (you hear that sayang,.. TODAY) cos I'm just scared that more fish(es) will die. Cheers to all my fish(es). May they live a long life!
Downloaded Quantum Leap (Scott Bakula, Dean Anderson) Season 1. I wanted to watch it with hubby last night, but after 10 minutes I dozed off in his arms. I woke up suddenly, told him I Really cannot tahan already, then crawled to my bed. Haaaaaa... Heaven..
Son's friend came over yesterday as well. He is way younger than my kid. Oh my gosh, the noise they made in the house. Is this what will happen when I have more kids later (later would be soon! Keep your hands, fingers, toes crossed!). Yikes! I really have to get ready for this. I mean with one boy around it was ok, but I am not sure if I have 2 or 3. Ai jo jo!
So back to the friend story. They were playing playing, then suddenly son came up to me and said that the friend called him 'stupid'. Hey in my house we all do not even use Bodoh (stupid) or tolerate any other name calling ok. I mean okla I understand they are still young, but what happens when they grow up . They might end up like some immature idiots who call themselves grown ups and still name call other people. SO I decided to find out his friend's side of the story. True enough son did not want to borrow one of his toy to him. So I made son apologised. And he did. BUT you know what happened the friend merajuk still and quickly said 'I don't want to friend you anymore!' Aiya, what la.
I thought the rule of thumb is that once you apologise and make peace, people should stop all this nuinsance (now i know why there are wars). Again I understand that they are still kids. So I had to get down on my knees and explained that NAME CALLING is a big no-no in this house. What more 'Stupid'. Noone is stupid and I told him it is very hurtful to the person you are calling it to. Then he told me that his parents also call him that.
Man, his own parents. Well a note of advice. To all parents, singles, bachelors, bachelorettes, girlfriend, boyfriend - you are ADULTS. DO NOT name call your child. Or ANYONE for that matter.
What comes around goes around. I believe in karma, I guess. Or in the bible, 'do not do unto others, what you do not want them to do to you.'
So please educate yourself first, before trying to educate those who are younger to you.
And by the way, didn't your parents tell you to respect those who are elder to you as well.
I hope this boy would be put right and not be a nuinsance when he grows up. As an elder boy, I advised my son to tell this boy not to say those words or name-call anyone anymore. I try my best to pump in the good values. Not only to my son but to others around him as well.
I am just afraid that the values that we learned from our elders would diminished as what I have seen yesterday.
So people buck up and be ready this time ok.
