The day started off with complete drowsiness from all of us. Woke up at 7am, got ready all of our sports equipment (running shoes, football shoes, goggles, thights, badminton racquet, extra clothes, drinks etc). It was a lil bit difficult to wake Angelus up though but we managed to drag him to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and washed his face. Luckily he was fully awake by then.

Hubby was still recovering from his flu and cough. Although he was still sick. But I managed to manouvre and coax both of them to the car on time. It was already 7.30am. Hubby was supposed to register himself at 8 for his 4X100 relay at 8.30am.

The sports carnival was held in Matshusita Stadium in Shah Alam. It has all the basic facilities that any stadium would have (in fact even more). With an Olympic size pool, one 11 aside football pitch, one 9 aside pitch, tennis courts, badminton courts, netball court, running track, long jump, high jump and ample parking space for a few hundred people.

It was a clear day and the sun has not come up fully yet, so some parts of the track were still quite cooling. I managed to catch hubby in action prior to his run.

For the first heat, they got 1st and was the 3rd fastest overall, so they were qualified to go to the finals. Unfortunately in the finals they did not manage to get top 3 but came in 4th. Hubby was the 3rd runner. Not bad. He still has some speed in him.

All in all, we took part in running, swimming, badminton, ping pong and also set up a game stall. Needless to say the game stall was a huge success.

I really applaud the commitment and passion that our Home Fellowship gave today. Of course they are a bunch of people who gave their best in everything that they do.

And of course with this commitment we managed to clinch the overall Champion title (with Canaa HF).

Yay to Amethyst Home Fellowship!!
