Now that the heat is on for all the 3 American Idol contestants, surely it is definitely not the time to make any hiccups and slip ups by anyone, including their family members.

However recent reports that are out in the Net as well as the American media stating that David Archuleta's father, Jeff Archuleta has been banned from rehearsal for the upcoming May 20th and 21st showdown.

According to them, Jeff had meddled with one of the songs that David had to perform during last Wednesday stint (Malaysian time). Apparently he insisted on changing or adding the lyrics to David's song 'Stand by Me' by incorporating a verse from Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls. I mean how it incurred additional costs for 'American Idol' as reported I really do not know, but that was what they say.

Ok la. That one I can close one eye and walk away. Who does not want the best for their kids right?

But this reported news or tabloid gossip got me disturbed. Is he really like that to poor David. I mean he is so innocent and all. Is that the reason why is he always so gugup or nervous whenever a question is being thrown to him by Ryan Seacrest on stage? Is he scared of what his father might think of him?

Sigh poor guy. He is only 17, but he is being pressured to the max. I just hope he would not end up like Sufiah Yusof. Such a waste of talent.

Here's to David Archuleta. Bad publicity sometimes result to more audience voting. I just hope this stunt Jeff made would benefit his son, rather than destroy him!
