When I first heard (while watching 10000 BC in the cinema) that Samy Vellu had lost and also Badawi might have lost as well, there goes the movie. I was basically thinking about the fate of our country, what should we all do if PAS or PKR would rule bla bla. I was actually thinking of migrating.. Haha. All the basic damage control thingy that I would do.
I called my dad and seeked clarification with him. Yes it is true that Samy Vellu lost as well as Sharizat. What?? Sharizat lost to Anwar's daughter? What did she do until she won the hearts of Lembah Pantai constituency? I thought Sharizat was good enough and she had done a lot in her Women/Community Ministry. I liked her. Oh well.
We did had a disturbing talk I might say in our Home Fellowship last Friday. There will be a wind of change they said. The non-muslims or Christians are scared that the nation would be an Islamic state they said. Etc etc.
For me, I just fear change. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones who were not neglected by the government. Or maybe I am just ignorant to what is going on. I asked Jerry the same question. He says diplomatically that he does want BN to win but there should be a substantial amount of Opposition parties to balance it all out.
And now the Opposition have conquered Penang (shocker!!), Kelantan (duuhhh), lost Kedah, Perak and Selangor (Opp won 35 out of 56 seats). I am in shock and that is why I cannot sleep. It is almost 4 am and I am still waiting for any new news.
Sigh.. What a day.
A wind of change indeed..
