Updating is really a big feat now isn’t it. I really want to but where got the time?!
Well anyway, I just want to pose this question. How to define wealth, as in how do I know if I have reached that highest point, or how to answer if someone asks me if I am ‘There’ already. There as in There la. Aiyo susah.. I do not know how to put it in simpler terms because I myself am so blur about it.
Whatever it is, I am content with what I have. I am a simple person and I know what I want in life. I used to be also blur about that part, but I guess I am getting a hang of things. I feel secure and safe and I know that I will be taken care of.
I think the secret of being happy (which is not really a secret) is to be contented with what you have. Ultimately when you mix around with people, they will have more than what you have, they will have that big car, they might have went around the world, they might have celebrity status, this that this that. Of course there will be a tinge of insecurity there and a bit of “How I wish I have that” here. Sigh. Material things at the end of the day. We can die tomorrow and there goes all that glitz, glamour and pictures of us around the world, but do we actually remember all that when we cross to the other side.
Guys, if we allow it, the carrot in front of us will always be in front of us. We will be like donkeys chasing the carrot but in fact is it attached to our heads. Do we actually want that?
Hey sayang, if you are reading this.. Let’s slow down and smell the roses. In our case halicornias etc (whatever that we had planted in our modest garden the other day). Let’s enjoy our gazebo and inhale the fresh air of our hilltop home. In the mean time, excel in your trainer career with that oil and gas company, and bring back the fruits of your labour to our home. Be that world class trainer that you are and gain respect from your top managers continuously, as what is going on right now. Let’s engulf ourselves on the little miracle that ‘storms’ our house by day and bring laughter by night. Jilus sets our feet on the ground and he will always bring joy to us..
As for me, I am happy (and occupied) managing your empire. Having someone like you to care and love me every single day make me the wealthiest woman ever. With that statement it truly describes the future Mrs Jerro Doss.
